LINDA M. DEDMAN*
Linda M. Dedman is a commercial
litigator. She represents
policyholders in coverage disputes,
including pursuing extra-contractual
claims against carriers. Ms. Dedman
handles first and third party claims
for clients in a variety of industries
ranging from high tech to
commercial property. Ms. Dedman
also helps individuals with first party
personal lines claims. She
occasionally consults with carries,
providing objective coverage opinions,
and is registered with the Texas
Department of Insurance to provide
insurance adjustors with continuing
education. Linda is chair elect of the
Dallas Bar Association’s Tort and
Insurance Practice Section and was
named a 2005 Rising Star of
Insurance Coverage in Texas Monthly
Magazine.
Ms. Dedman earned her
undergraduate and law degrees from
Southern Methodist
University/Dedman School of Law (B.
A., magna cum laude, 1991; J.D., cum
laude, 1998). She started her legal
career as a litigator with one of the
world’s premier law firms and
quickly gravitated to the firm’s
insurance coverage group. She then
served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney
for the Northern District of Texas.

ELIZABETH A. HANDSCHUCH*
Elizabeth A. Handschuch is originally
from the Northeast and is admitted to
the Pennsylvania and New Jersey
bars in addition to Texas. In 1989,
she received her law degree with
honors from Rutgers University
School of Law in Camden, New
Jersey where she was a member of
the Rutgers Law Journal and an
intern to Judge Raymond Broderick
at the United States District Court
for the Eastern District of
Pennsylvania. Following law school,
she clerked two years at the United
States Court of Appeals for the Third
Circuit in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. Ms. Handschuch is
also a graduate of the University of
North Carolina, Chapel Hill where
she received a B.A. with distinction in
1986 and all-American honors for
field hockey.
Ms. Handschuch has been practicing
law in Texas since 1991. Her primary
practice area is commercial insurance
litigation representing policyholders.
Ms. Handschuch also litigates
complex business matters and mass
tort actions. Ms. Handschuch has
contributed substantial time to pro
bono efforts and was Rockwall
County’s pro bono lawyer of the year
for 2004.
